Nokia 5500 was announced in May 2006. It is liked by all people due to its features, accessories and functions. After its launching, it got a significant place in the market and people appreciated this new model of Nokia.
Its weight is 103g and dimensions are 107 x 45 x 18mm, 77 cc. It has 256k color display with TFT. It is a very stylish set and its sound system is too stunning. Vibration, down loadable polyphonic and MP3 ring tones are its sound features along with speaker phone of good voice quality. Its memory is also very good to carry unlimited entries and call records of maximum 30 days can easily be saved. Nokia 5500 has internal memory of 8MB, 64 MB RAM and a card slot.
Main features of Nokia 5500 are GPRS, Bluetooth, Infrared port, USB pop-port. It has camera of 2MP, 1600 x 1200 pixels. Its CPU is ARM 9, 235 MHz Processor, SMS, MMS, Email, browser of WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML and operating system is Symbian OS v9.1, Series 60 rel.3.0. It also contains “text-to-speech” application in its messaging function.
Nokia 5500 offers all general features including stereo FM radio, games + java down loadable, video player, MP3, flash light, T9 dictionary, calculator, reminder, voice command and organizer with a good battery system. Nokia 5500 offers 270 hours stand-by time and talk time up to 4 hours. This model was launched in black and grey colors but after 2006 there is no development made in Nokia 5500.
